Story time with Grandma and Gram

 Grandma and Gram came over for another little bike ride and brought an Olive Fly Fishing book, the kids loved it and grandma was quite pleased, it was the end to another great day!

Another bath

School pictures

We are soooo lucky!  We know the people who take Jaydon's school pictures (we went to school with their daughters and they used to take our pictures).  So every year they not only take a fabulous pic of Jaydon but they also do a family photo and this year they did individual ones of the other two.  We are very pleased with how they turned out.  Big shout out to K.I.D.S Photography http://www.kidsschoolphotos.com/ and the Grant family.

Family snuggles

Jaydon is an awesome big brother and loves getting snuggle time with his baby sister, he often requests pictures to be taken.  Lucy, Higgins and I were having a good time that same morning sharing some hugs.  Jeremy was the camera man this time!

Kid Art

Jaydon and Lucy have been working hard on some of their art.  Jaydon did the flag (evidently I liked it so much I took 2 pics of it) and the art with the flag pics, Lucy did the art from the middle.  They are both enjoying painting with water colors.

Lucy one day out of the blue came up and said, listen to my concert.  She had two utensils and proceeded to play them like a violin under her chin and sing/hum along.  It was awesome, this video was the second attempt because we were all enamored with her first one we didn't stop to make a video so it isn't as good as the original performance but you get the idea :-)

Bike Ride

Well I finally got around to getting a new bike!  It is beautiful and while I didn't actually take a good picture of it close up you can barely see it in the bottom picture :-)  

We decided to do the first ride with it around our neighborhood scouting a way to ride to Jaydon's school for next year.  Kate rode in the chariot, pulled by Grandma (my attachment for the Chariot will arrive soon) with Jaydon on his pedal bike and Lucy on her scoot bike.  We had a wonderful time and have truly enjoyed this amazing weather we have been having.

Etienne gets to visit

Etienne came for his first overnight visit without his mom, Grandma had him for the night and decided to stay at our house to make it more fun for everyone to hang out.  We all had a great time and I only wish Kate slept so well at night as her cousin does!

Sarah's concert

Blogging all the things we did today makes me realize we had quite a full day of fun!  At night we went to Sarah's first band concert, it was a lot of fun to watch and we were so thankful we could be there to show our support. She plays the clarinet and is two people to the left from the boy in the red shirt.  The kids were quite entertained listening to the music, I continue to hope they will take after their Dad and Granny and be musical throughout school!

We decided to make cookies one afternoon and had a ton of fun as a family!

Kate is 4 months

Kate is 4 months old!  She weighed 14lbs 10oz and was 24.75in long both around the 50th percentile.  She is very healthy and happy!  She is such a snuggler, whether by her choosing or by nature of being held and snuggled so much so far in life she loves to be held and with her people constantly.  We started sleep training and it has not really gone so well, she is quite stubborn and has definitely continued to scream quite a bit about being in her crib.  Her length of crying is a bit reminiscent of her brother at times :-)  She is working on sitting up (the waaaay forward lean is involved) and grabbing toys.  She can be verbal at times but more often she is just smiley!  While I would like her to either take a pacifier or suck her thumb or finger she isn't too inclined to do either right now.  She will find her thumb or finger at times but she doesn't seem to do it to help soothe herself which is what I would love.  We are lovin' our little Kate!

Lily loves sleeping on her changing table!  This outfit was Lucy's pick for her 4 month 'birthday,' I think Lucy would pick it every do so we make sure it is dirty for awhile at a time ;-)

She was so tired after refusing to nap away from me and I had too much going on to just sleep with her so she finally gave in and fell asleep in the kitchen while I was making dinner, she does enjoy eating the frilly part of her dress which is why it is up by her face.

The Mess

One day I had to help Kate for quite awhile trying to get her to sleep and when I came back out of her bedroom this is what I found - a yarn and toy disaster!  I had to take a few calming breaths on this one.  I will say the kids did a pretty good job of cleaning it all up.

Kate is getting darn close to going all the way over, we find her on her side like this quite a bit.

Citros visit

 We had a great time when Sophie, Xander and Asia came to visit.  The kids got to play and Asia and I got to catch up a bit.  Sophie and Xander loved baby Kate and the kids all had some fun.  Xander was discovering all of our light switches (we had so many to play with) so he missed out on the photo shoot.  It was an awesome morning!
