Jaydon enjoys using his jump-up and has really started to get going in it.

7 Months!
Wow...the things Jaydon can do and wants to do. He is growing up so fast and is truly more little boy than baby.
Getting ready to cheer for the Mariners! (Even though he doesn't get to watch TV yet but he sure is good about trying to sneak it if we have it on while he is awake.)
He enjoys playing with his basketball hoop. He is a very accomplished sitter at this point and will pull things over to him, rock out to grab stuff far away, lean way to a side and then sit up again. We enjoyed the NCAA Tourney - again Jaydon spent a bit of time trying to watch the TV and us trying not to allow it.
Messy boy! He has enjoyed his food. Sweet potatoes are his favorite but he has done pretty well with all of the foods we have introduced.
Jaydon LOVES bath time. Here he plays a game with turning off the sink water (he can almost turn it on too) as we dry off. Since he is still not a great sleeper (naps can be great or short - we haven't figured out why the difference, nights are still tough dealing with 3-4 wake ups) we have had to really stick to a routine which does help get him down initially but it involves a bath every night (soap only a couple times a week).
Terrible picture but it shows him sort of trying to crawl. He definitely is getting ready to move, he turns 360 while sitting, he leans forward and gets into crawling position but then will let his butt fall to the ground. I wouldn't be surprised to see him crawling very soon.We dealt with our first very high fever (103.6) after getting his H1N1 shot and teeth are definitely coming in though they haven't broken the surface yet. So many milestones and so little time.

Happy Birthday Payton!
We had two birthday parties in a row - a nice lunch for my grandpa and then Payton's two year party at the Everett Children's Museum. They were both fun, though I was terrible and didn't get any photos of the lunch.
The museum is soooo cool - I highly recommend it for anyone if you are at all near Everett, I have heard it is way better than the one in Seattle. Here Jeremy and Jaydon are up on the roof playing with the instruments.

Playdate at Sophie's house
Our kiddos had done a great job of making us think they were on the same nap schedule - of course that day Jaydon had to nap an hour earlier than normal and Sophie went down about 45 minutes later than normal. We still had a great time and enjoyed the visit but someday our schedules are going to mesh and it will be a beautiful thing.
Excellent photography from me - the arm belongs to Asia. Jaydon looks like he is either going to kiss her hand, lick her hand or bite her hand - I will go with kiss, they are happy and there was no biting.Tuesday, March 9, 2010
Visit with Wendy and Brenna
Wendy and Brenna came down for a visit and a quick trip to the Baby store. They even brought lunch! We had a great time.
Brenna takes a pacifier - good girl! Wendy has one too - though this is a Fred Meyer knock off oreo and it sure was good. Many of the imitation oreos I have not found to be that good - these are!

Rolling around
This is a video taken of Jaydon rolling around. Of course when I turned on the camera he stopped doing it as well as he had been. He insists on having toys in his hands most of the time hr rolls around and he continues to be a very active boy. I am also very behind on posting so this happened quite awhile ago - early March (I have resorted to making up dates that I think these things occur).

FOOD!!
Well we started solids on the first of March and it has been an adventure. His first taste was rice cereal - he hated it. The texture was a bit much for him and he would gag nicely. We them moved onto sweet potatoes and added avocado. He enjoys the sweet potatoes (yam) a lot and likes the avocado if it is really smooth (still not a fan of texture). I am planning on peas and squash coming next.
First bite, I enjoy the "mom what are you doing to me?" expression.
hmmm...not so sure, so he likes to let it dribble down his chin.
He likes to hold his own spoon but then he just has it in his mouth most of the time making it difficult to get our spoons in.
Ahhh...sweet potato - 'now this I like mom so I will continue to help bring the spoon to my mouth with my hand and make BIG messes.'

6 Months!
We can't believe Jaydon is already 6 months old! He is growing and changing so quickly it is a bit scary. He weighed 18lbs 12oz (so he has definitely slowed down in the weight gain category) but has evened out and all of his measurements put him in the 70-80th percentile. We have a very healthy baby boy on our hands.
He wants to crawl pretty badly but so far has only managed to scooch an inch or two forward - he continues to roll around all over the place and has developed strong sitting abilities. He continues to try and pull himself to sitting from a laid back position and is getting closer to achieving this, he has very strong abs, back and legs.
Great picture of leaving his 6 month check up after getting a bunch of shots :-(
He likes to look at the colors and grab his toys and blanket and anything else that comes into reach...paper, stuff mommy and daddy are eating/drinking etc.
I knew I shouldn't have posted about his sleeping progressing on the blog. The very night after I did that he regressed and hasn't gotten back in the swing of things. He actually is still napping for longer but is having a hard time going more than 4 hours during a stretch at night and even the 4 hour chunk seems to happen only once. Here he was on one of his most tired afternoons.
Tired boy - he reacted a bit to his flu shot so he also wasn't feeling all that well and who really knows but we think he might be teething.
