Jeremy's travels

Jeremy has had a super busy past few months. He has traveled a ton.
One of his co-workers owns a horse, it raced, Jeremy went, it won and Jeremy got to go in the winner's circle. Quite an experience.
While on a work trip Jeremy got back to his room to grab his bags (it was of course the last day when he was supposed to be leaving). He sent me the above pic asking what is wrong with this picture. I wasn't sure, then I realized he was on the outside of the room but the safety latch was in place and no one was in the room. Long story short, a maid somehow got the bar latch as she was leaving to hook over the lock so he couldn't get in. Security couldn't help, maintenance couldn't help. After awhile maintenance tried breaking the door, it didn't work. Jeremy asked if he could try - I think he had some pent up frustrations and that door was just the thing, one shoulder ram later he busted the lock and was able to get his bag. Phew.

Kids School Work

The last round of school work and art projects from the kids this year.
How bad am I, I don't remember who made this one but for some reason I think Lucy.
Lucy's frogs
Jaydon's math, he certainly has his grandfather's math gene, he is pretty ridiculous. We have to work on him showing his work because he does almost everything just in his head. We were lucky his first grade teacher worked really hard to give him some challenging material to work on.

Jaydon's

Oh my gosh, if you can make this larger you have to read how Jaydon spelled his middle name!  We laughed pretty hard, clearly we never spelled it for him, we just say it on occasion.
Lucy's end of year stuff and her giant flower

Lucy had her Kindergarten preview night and she made this apple in a big kindergarten class at her school for the fall.
Jaydon made these cool sea creatures during his last science unit in school.
His teacher gave awards to everyone with little gifts to go with them, my sports fan got the wiffle ball award and a real ball and bat. Also a summer birthday, can't forget the birthday certificate from school :-)

Happy Father's Day

We enjoyed getting to spend some time celebrating Dad. Both the older kids made him fun gifts from school and Kate worked on a card. I think we kept it a fairly low key day. Dad has been traveling a ton and we just enjoyed a little family time together.

This is the shirt I found for him. I love it because every once in awhile I will give him a certain look and he knows that means he has lost me.

Holland Slippers

Grandma and Gram took an almost month long trip to Holland (they did a fun bike and barge trip and then did some touring on their own). When they came back we were all anxious to see each other so they came over before Jaydon had to leave for school. They brought the kids these fun 'wooden' shoe slippers. So cute. They had a marvelous time and highly recommend a bike and barge tour.

One Day

Our church had a pretty cool One Day event. A day when we met for service at the nearby stadium and had a quick service before heading out to serve our community. My family did some weeding at a local elementary school but there were tons of projects throughout the city that people could be involved in, then we headed back to the stadium for hot dogs and an after party. It was a pretty amazing day.

Great Wolf Lodge

We used a groupon to celebrate a great school year with a quick one night stay at Great Wolf Lodge with friends. It was so much fun and we were so excited to be able to go and get a room next door to our friends so the adults could play games after we put the kids to bed. We really only had time for the water park on the one night trip but I anticipate we will try going for a longer visit another time to take advantage of all the other cool things offered.

Face painting and coloring table on our way out

We had a great time and will be back
We were just getting ready to leave so Kate was truly done with pictures.

I think we wore them out, everyone slept on the way home (except the driver of course)

Jaydon's Baseball Celebration

Jaydon had a blast playing baseball this year. He is a bit of a junkie - he will ask to play constantly and the Mariner's are his favorite team (unless it is Seahawks season then he struggles to pick one).

Sliding into home as a team at the last game

Banquet time, Jaydon got "Mr. Stats Guy" as his nickname. He could probably tell you his on base percentage and batting average for the season after any at bat.

He is already looking forward to next year when he will move up into minors.
