I was busy getting our Halloween decorations up and around with help from the Lucy and Kate. I looked down and found Higgins in the holiday spirit. Lucy decked him out in his costume. He really didn't seem to mind too much.

Fall Sicknesses
The start of fall illnesses hit all 3 kiddos at different times. Sure enough, croup for Jaydon, vomiting for Lucy and an ear infection for Kate, they stick with what they know :-)
Gram helped watch Jaydon one morning while I worked and Grandma came over with Lego sets from Aunt Mary, they were a hit.

Autumn Leaf Festival
We took a quick one night trip to Leavenworth for the Autumn Leaf Festival. We had a lovely time walking around downtown and partaking the the events. The kids decorated their bikes and even marched in the kiddie parade. It was a blast.
Lucy tried out the climbing wall
Kate made it halfway up the stairs before coming back down.
Lucy coming down the slide
This is all I have of Jaydon - his feet jumping - he was too fast.
Bike riding in the parade
Kate waved the whole time, it was pretty cute.
The kids watching the parade
We headed home at bedtime so the kids slept in the car, it worked out pretty well.

Bam...I did it
Almost two weeks after getting started I finally got caught up. Thank goodness for kids being in school and Kate taking naps. I also have to make note that a few days were spent getting Kate's 1 year baby book completed so I could take advantage of the free photo book offer I got online (and I got it done when she was still technically one - victory). Phew...that is quite a lot of To Do List off my plate for now. I hope to not get so far behind in the future, here's hoping.

Lucy and Lily
We took Lily to get her hair cut, it didn't go so well (she was too worked up for them to shave) so we will try again next week. However, when we picked her up she spent some of the car ride sitting with Lucy and the rest of it Lily was on Kate's head (unfortunately I couldn't get a pic of that).

Hair brushing and Higgins
I have taken over a job at our church which requires me to work most of the day each Sunday. It is a fun challenge but I am definitely just doing this for the interim until they can find the right fit. When I uploaded my most recent pics to get caught up I came across some random pics. Here they are for your enjoyment, as they provided me with a smile.
Game day...Kate was found brushing out Lucy's hair while Jaydon watched.
Auntie Kelsey and family sent us this cool building set thing, imagine my surprise when I see that Higgins has been gifted with a new hat. I can't tell if he is getting ready to celebrate the Sabbath or block out an alien attack. Jeremy informs me that Lucy and Kate were the hat bestowing culprits.

Jaydon reading to Kate
We were getting ready for bedtime routine and I went back and found Jaydon and Kate snuggled up reading together, it was so cute!

Lucy and Grandpa's art
Grandpa came to babysit the girls while I had a one day conference. They had fun and when I returned I saw this picture that they colored together. I was so impressed! Lucy really did a lot of the work (I think Grandpa was the little chicks and some of the fence).

Lucy's first day of Pre-K
Lucy started her first day of Pre-K. There are times I can't believe she isn't already in elementary school, she often comes across as older than she is. She gets to have the same teacher Jaydon had for Pre-K and got off to a fabulous start.
I'm not sure why she insisted on wearing the free humane society bag (which she uses as her school bag) across her chest but that is how she likes to do it every day. It didn't make for a great photo but she is darn cute even so.
After her first day with her pattern necklace. The teacher commented that she worked very hard on her pattern, I looked at the left side and thought nice, she alternated two colors, then I looked at the right side more closely and realized she had done rainbow patterns - she knocks my socks off!
Sister time
A couple projects from the first days of school
Ahhh..I am so behind
Well today if the first day of school (afternoon Pre-K) for Lucy and Jaydon is just starting his 4th day of First grade so I get some kid free time while Kate naps. Jeremy has finished one of his school projects that also kept me from the computer quite a bit. Not to mention the fact that we had an amazingly busy and fun summer! But, now is my chance. I hope that in the next week or so I will be able to get this blog updated. Let's hope the computer cooperates and I can plow through some of these updates from the previous 3 months of our lives. Thanks for your patience...

E turns 2
We were happy to get to take a trip out to celebrate E turning 2. It was a big bash with lots of people and the kids had a great time running around being crazy.
The birthday boy poses in his party hat, I don't adjust my camera out of auto mode so the light pouring in from behind made for some really stellar pics - sorry.
The kids played outside for hours. Lucy and Jaydon met a couple friends and they played together the whole time.
Kate giving E some hugs.
Then some inside play time
Time to eat
Cake time
Yummy
