May Madness

May and April were both a bit of a blur. Jeremy did comps in April (passed with flying colors but spent a week straight in his office from 5am-10pm writing 3 papers), then I had my National Board Renewal due in mid-May (which I also passed and am certified for 10 more years), we put Mother's Day off for a week so I could get them done. Add different kid events at school and gym and Jaydon still on crutches for most of the month it was pretty busy.

The school Bike Rodeo, Lucy and Kate got to participate, Jaydon got to help work it sitting in a chair
Granny got to squeeze in a little visit

The girls gymnastics performance. I didn't get many good pics and the videos are almost all longer than the 15 seconds I am able to post here.

Jaydon and Lucy bike ride

Jaydon and Lucy got to go on a bike ride with Grandma and Gram and some of the rainbow riders. I don't remember when the ride actually took place but it was a cute couple pics so I wanted to get them on here.

Autumn Leaf Festival

Grandma took Kate and Cousin E to Leavenworth to hang with Aunt Mary at the Autumn Leaf festival. They had a great time (minus the night the youngsters kept Grandma up until 11:45 being unable to fall asleep and settle).

Bike ride to school

Grandma and Gram rode the kids into school one beautiful morning and then I was able to catch up with them to ride home. Great day!

Kid's Fish-In

Another year, another kid's fish-in. It makes for a nice Mother's Day celebration with Grandma! This year we did a later time slot but rode our bikes to the park and Dad drove with all the gear. It worked out well and celebrated Gram as well for Mother's day since she vastly prefers biking to fishing.
Kate is still just a little young to participate but the older two both caught their limit (2 fish I think)
Dad and Grandma were helpers.

Success!

Bike-a-thon

Lucy had a bike-a-thon at school. She raised money for Seattle Children's Cancer Center. Unfortunately she had one of her stubborn moments. She got upset about the fit of her helmet and refused to ride. I got her to go one time around sort of and then she stopped and just cheered from the side. Bummer because I think she would have had fun.

Pics from Grandma

Grandma emailed me a bunch of pics she has taken the past few months and so I decided to plunk them all in one big post!
Grandma took the kids on a mountain bike adventure - they were recovering from illnesses so it wasn't the biggest hit but they still had moments of fun.

Camping - they took 2 camping trips with Grandma and Gram this summer. They had a fabulous time!

Lots of reading time (the kids were super into the A-Z mysteries)

Kate and E both fell asleep in the chariot.

Autumn Leaf Festival

We took a quick one night trip to Leavenworth for the Autumn Leaf Festival. We had a lovely time walking around downtown and partaking the the events.  The kids decorated their bikes and even marched in the kiddie parade.  It was a blast.
Lucy tried out the climbing wall

Kate made it halfway up the stairs before coming back down.
Lucy coming down the slide
This is all I have of Jaydon - his feet jumping - he was too fast.
Bike riding in the parade

Kate waved the whole time, it was pretty cute.

We headed home at bedtime so the kids slept in the car, it worked out pretty well.
