New Year's Eve

We had a busy and fun New Year's Eve.
Started out with smoothies - a family favorite.
Then we headed up to visit Great GrandmaAleen

Then we enjoyed some fun snacky dinner food
The kids were making Papa artisan chips with berries, he of course ate them.
We tried watching the ball drop at 9 but unfortunately they weren't showing it live so we missed it.
Waiting to see the ball drop, then the kids were off to bed and the adults weren't far behind.

Kate loved the reindeer thing at Great-Grandmas. She also loves to see the pics or movies you take, so if she sees you have taken one she immediately says see, see.

Beach Hike

We had a fun hike with Granny and Papa and Grandma. We went down to the Meadowdale Beach and Jeremy was determined to find some live animals for the kids. They walked pretty far down the beach to find the rocky area and low and behold they found the crab and fish they were looking for.

We all enjoyed the chilly and sunny morning.

And yet again, Papa joined Lucy at the "kid" table for our meal.

"Glass" art

Granny and Papa gave Lucy (and Jaydon though he didn't make his at the same time so I don't have a pic of his yet) a fun stained glass project that was really made with siliconey stickers. Mess free, no cooking required and super fun.  Lucy wanted to pose with Higgins by her butterfly.

Granny and Papa arrive

Granny and Papa arrived in town and we had a wonderful time with them for 5 days. We always wish it could be longer. I was pretty bad and didn't take many pics of their trip.
The first night they were here we had some left over Christmas Dinner.

Lucy and Kate are my girls, they are way into presents and couldn't wait to crack open the last bunch of them now that Granny and Papa were in town.  Jaydon has more of the Smoldon side where he can see presents hang out for days and not have a burning desire to open them :-)

So much Christmas! We had such a great time at all of our celebrations!

Boxing Day

Grandpa and Nana wanted to have a Christmas celebration with their local grandkids so they planned a Boxing Day event.  We had a wonderful time gathering and eating a great meal and then opening presents.

A cute pic with my Dad
Look at us both smiling and looking presentable :-)
We forgot to take our picture in front of our own tree this year so while we had a little time we had Grandpa take one for us in front of their tree. We are missing the cats but they probably prefer that.

Present time!

Yes, I love my gift!

Kate was happy to get her shoes, so were we because she had just dropped an i-pad on her big toe and it was bad, bloody, gross and she will most likely lose the nail, I think it felt good for her to get the shoes on.

Grandpa and Nana, thanks for hosting.
Lucy got a fuzzy sweater, Grandpa got undies, life is good

Uncle L's brother made us a buche de noel cake to enjoy, it was delicious!
