Magnet Board

We have this fun magnet board with templates.  Lucy and Jaydon have been enjoying making different pictures on it.  Lucy and I did this one together.

Grape Towers

I saw this somewhere and thought it would be a great easy activity for us to do, and it was!  We all had fun making grape towers.

Birthday fun

Sarah and Jen came over to deliver a couple birthday presents, one for Lucy for turning 3 and one for me.  We enjoyed our short visit and loved our gifts.

Definitely a lot of sugar and spice in this one :-)

I don't know how well you can see the picture but it is of me reading a story to Sarah when she was 2, she is now 12.  It is crazy how time flies.

Healthy Kids Day

The local YMCAs had big Healthy Kids celebrations.  We attended the free event and the kids got to do different activities and had a bit of fun.  We will probably be joining the Y quite soon to also take advantage of some of their fun summer programs.  

What's a healthy kid without a s'more?  They loved it!

The kids have done a lot of tower building recently, it is fun and frustrating for them.  I thought for sure I would remember who built which one, but I don't, so you can decide.

Happy 35th to me!

The kids and Jeremy made a wonderful Dairy free chocolate cake/brownie.  I had a great day and enjoyed spending time with my family. 

Lucy is a Lahti, she licks her plate and bowl just like her mom and Grandpa.

Kaitlyn is 6 months old!

Here are some fun pics of Kate at 6 months.  As you can see she is a smiler!  It is not hard to get a smile from her much to the enjoyment of everyone we meet.  She weighs 15lbs13oz and is 25 inches long, right about the 50th percentile for everything.  She sits extremely well and the Dr. even asked when he came in for her 6 month check up if she was almost 7 months because of the way she sat.  She loves playing with toys, and will transfer them from hand to hand.  She is digging her solids and eats quite well.  Daddy makes her laugh after bath time with tummy zerberts and Jaydon can really get her laughing too.  She sure does love her siblings.  Sleep is still not good  but we are surviving and it is made a lot easier because she is so fun during the day.  She likes to sleep with her legs up in the air which is pretty cute but not all that conducive to blankets staying on :-)

If you notice her left hand is blurry and in many pics she sits with her hands out, she loves to wiggle her hands and make circles with her writs.  She does it when she gets excited or if she wants something different to be happening, it is really cute and many people have started noticing it.

"Camping" fun

Grandma and Gram wanted to use their trailer so they found a relatively close campground to head to for the weekend.  We needed to get out of the house to give Dad a chance to do more school work (the course he took this semester was brutal and required many weekends of work on his part) so we joined them for a fun Saturday.  We had a nice lunch, the kids biked around the campground while Kate napped and then we hiked down to the beach and came back in time to have a campfire and hot cocoa before heading back home.
