Frogs Field Trip

Jaydon had another preschool field trip to a local frog rescue place that does education and programs and rescue.  It was also right by the waterfront so we got to play at the beach.  What a fun time we had.

Playing some pretend baseball in the sand working on his slide!  He has now become quite obsessed with baseball and is thrilled to get to start a t-ball league this summer.

 This didn't look comfy to me but Lucy insisted on daddy reading her some stories and she just got comfy on the floor with her lovies and her stories.  She is such an avid story girl!

Park Playdate

We enjoyed a sunny day and met up with Krissi, Gavin and Blakely at a nearby park.  It was fun to be outside and enjoying the day!

This is a Lucy selfie and I enjoy it.  Also it is fun for me because both of our kids started out with blue eyes for over a year of their life.  Jaydon slowly turned and his are now brown with flecks of green and Lucy has gradually changed over to having more green eyes.

Happy Birthday to me

I had a wonderful birthday!  The kids and I hung out in the morning, Jaydon had school so while Lucy napped I relaxed and read a book in the afternoon and then we went out to dinner and the kids and Jeremy made me a wonderful chocolatey coconutty cake, it was a great day. 

Also, I am so happy to report that my birthday gift was a new camera!  Unfortunately it is going to take me a couple weeks to get photos with the new camera on here because we didn't have a memory card initially so we were still using good old blurry red one but soon you will no longer have to deal with such terrible photos, still not amazing as I am not a blessed photographer but at least we can cut out some of the blurry, fuzzy terribleness.  Thanks for your patience!

Easter Day

We had another fabulous day celebrating Easter!  We enjoyed seeing what the Easter bunny brought us in the morning, going to a great church service, then heading north for our annual Easter afternoon at the Leighton's and this year we made it even more busy because we headed back to swing by the Orthodox Easter celebration at the Angelos house.

Unfortunately, we didn't get any photos at the Angelos house this year but we also had a great time visiting there.  Easter is such a special time of year and we feel very blessed to have our family traditions and celebrate the risen Christ with so many we love.

Easter Celebration

We were looking for an Easter activity for the Saturday before Easter and our friends James and Krissi happen to have an awesome neighborhood that puts on a fun event for the neighborhood families and their friends.  The kids had a great time and we just beat the weather so it was a good morning.

Lucy has mastered climbing these curvy ladder things at playgrounds and now finds them whenever we go to one.

The egg hunt begins - they are off!

And Lucy spotted a man mowing the lawn a couple yards away and freaked out!  The rest of the time she was scared of the lawn mower saying it was coming to get her and she had a hard time enjoying the festivities.

The Easter Bunny even came for a visit.  It was pretty awesome, Jaydon thought it was really cool and gave him a high five, Lucy was still freaked out and didn't want anything to do with him.

We had a fun morning and were so thankful to our friends for inviting us to their neighborhood celebration!

Higgins Snuggle Time

Higgins has become a bit of a snuggler with the kiddos.  It is shocking how he allows Lucy to carry him around in all sorts of positions but it is also super cute that he is sometimes allowing snuggling.

We had to give Higgins a bath one night and he was chilly, that night he slept with Jaydon for the rest of the night.  Jaydon was so excited!
