Random Jaydon Picts

Here are a few shots throughout the month. I realize I am already getting a lot worse at taking photos, we have had a few fun things we have gone to and I have neglected to bring my camera along to any of them. Hopefully I can get back on track. I know I complained about not having very many baby pictures of myself and while this is not a pregnancy announcement I do worry about how few photos baby #2 will get when that time comes.

Jaydon loves helping, here he decided to set the table. Scary that he is able to reach so many things now - stuff left on edges of the dinner table and counters are no longer safe.

He loves to snowshovel. So far he has never tried that trick when it is actually snowing but he pushes the shovel all around our cul de sac and sometimes even pulls it.

Enjoying some snuggly blanket and book time by the fire place. It was great.

Jaydon loves to read!

He is also extremely active. He runs and jumps and climbs on things and enjoys being buried in blankets, sheets etc.

Old Small Group Get Together

We had a great time getting together with our old small group. We missed Phillip, (otherwise known as Jillip) who is on deployment with the military right now. Other than that everyone was able to make it.

Melody trying to take Gavin home with her.

Jeremy playing with some of the kids. Christian, Grace, Abby and Jaydon (L to R)

Getting cleaned up a bit after dinner, also talking sports.

The guys: James, Jeremy, Jason and Jeff (hence the Jillip comment from earlier). Jeremy got the seat way down in the opening of the couch so that made him feel like a normal photo of himself would just not do.

The ladies: Lisa, Heather, Melody, Sarah, Krissi and little Gracie.
And this next sequence was the attempt to get a photo of all the kids. Keep in mind when we first joined this group Christian was the only kid yet in existence and he was a baby.
Jaydon was doing ok for awhile but it took a bit too long to get everyone located and onto the couch, so the next few are his attempt at escaping.

Ok, everyone is here: Gavin (chillin'), Grace (contemplating), Jaydon (escaping), Christian (debating whether he should stop Jaydon), Grayden (thinking about escaping), Jackson (enjoying himself immensley), Abby and Mikayla (sisters smiling for the camera)

Chaos reigns!

Brenna Turns ONE!

We enjoyed helping Brenna celebrate her first birthday! She had a big open house party with lots of people, food and presents. It was great.

Some of the presents in the pile.

Happy Birthday to you!

Hmmm...what is this?

Delicious!

She went right for it and stuffed the whole muffin in her face.

She managed to put away one muffin in short order so she got another one! Happy birthday little Boo.

Visit with the Millard Family

We had a fabulous weekend with Ben, Stefanie, Micah, Tyler, Rachel and Lauren. They came up for a night and we got to enjoy some great adult game time and also have the kids enjoy some games and movies and a treasure hunt (geocaching).

Here is the giant fort we built with the Toy Story characters prominently displayed.

Rachel was quite the photographer and enjoyed taking artistic pics.

Here is a photo Rachel took of her dad, Ben.

Jaydon and Lauren getting ready to go out for a walk to find the Geocache(s).

Walking down the hill towards the park.

Going through the neighborhood close by. Yes, it does look like Jaydon has just been left alone to cross a street but the photo has a bit distorted perspective. We were actually just trying to get a photo of him walking by himself next to everyone because it was so cute. He walked pretty darn close to a half a mile by himself.

Success! We found the treasure on our first attempt. Here the kids are looking through the box for a goodie they could keep.
After we found this one it started raining quite a bit harder but we thought we would give one more a try (Jaydon and Jeremy decided to pass on this one). After walking quite a ways in the opposite direction and getting right where the cache should have been we were not successful in locating it (after some research online I found out that it was just missing that day), we were certainly ready for the hot chocolate and the fireplace that Jeremy and Jaydon had ready for us when we returned. We had a great time and hope to have another fun weekend with the Millards again soon.

Big Owie!

Jaydon was playing on a new rolled up yoga mat and his feet slipped out from under him and he smashed into the edge of our rocker/recliner chair. He doesn't cry much for boo-boos but this one definitely had him going. While he has had many other injuries and will continue to have many more I took a couple photos of this one because there was a pretty impressive line down the lower half of his face.

If you look carefully you can see the mark starts right under his nose and heads down to the tip of his chin. These accident happened in the morning and these photos were the same night.

Here is what he looked like the next day, though the grumpy expression was just a bad photo. He was very chipper all day and the owie never phased him. It just took a little getting used to for us.

Go Seahawks!

Auntie came up for a visit and she and Jaydon were snuggling during parts of the Seahawks. At other parts Jaydon was looking at us like we were crazy people as we were all yelling and screaming about exciting plays. This is when we taught Jaydon how to signal a touchdown, if he hears the word touchdown in passing or in some conversation he will usually raise both hands over his head.

What eye color does Jaydon have?

I love this photo of Jaydon's eyes. They are big and beautiful but I am stll biased. It is pretty funny though because I still don't really know what color eyes he has. They were blue for a very long time and some people were totally convinced they would stay blue because they were that way until he was almost a year (however, his Daddy's eyes didn't change until he was a year so we were pretty sure they wouldn't stay blue). Now some days they are very brown and other days they are more greenish though with still brown undertones. I am guessing they are still just in the process of changing to brown but it has been a pretty cool transition to watch.

Snuggling

Jaydon is loving to come up and snuggle and then of course be off and playing. Here was a combo shot. We snuggled for a minute then quickly went into airplane and upside down boy. He was having a great time.

Where's Lily?

Jeremy beat me home from work one afternoon and Wendy was watching the kiddos. He was looking for Lily and ended up finding her in an unusual place. We had never seen her get into it before so he took some pictures so I could see.

Where could Lily be?

A slightly closer up photo of her hiding spot.

There she is, on top of the fridge in the lunch bag. Shows just how badly she wanted a little R&R time away from both Jaydon and Brenna.
