Jaydon Cam

Jaydon continues to enjoy taking photos.
Here he snapped a blurry one of Lucy and Mom.

Ah, the story of this one!  We had one of those days last week that was a bit of a disaster all around.  Jaydon had hurt his tooth a few days prior and really complained about it one morning so I set up an appointment to get him in at the dentist (fortunately it turned out to be a bruised sore gum from biting something hard).  He did a great job and even managed to stay quite still while they did the big around your head x-ray thingy.  As we were trying to leave that morning I found water all over our floor from a fridge leak! Did I mention Jeremy was again out of town all week for the second week out of three.  I turned off the ice maker and cleaned the water and hoped for the best while we frantically ran out the door to get to the appointment. A costco trip with a bit of a debit card issue and arriving home to more leaking water made for an especially pleasant day.  Thank goodness for Uncle Greg who came to lend a hand and we found the problem and our neighbors son who is a contractor came to look and the water damage wasn't too bad.  So by the end of the day everything was ok but boy was it tough for awhile.

So anyway, this photo is Jaydon trying to take a picture of his mouth because his teeth kept hurting and he wanted to see it.  You can't even imagine how many mouth shots I have deleted off the camera in the past week :)

Play-doh

We had a stretch of not so nice weather so we found some indoor things to try.  Lucy hadn't tried play-doh before so we gave it a go.
Jaydon enjoys his play-doh truck
Lucy had a great time but she was not great about not tasting yet so we will probably wait a little while before we try again.

Lucy also did a little coloring!

Visit at Aunties

We headed out to visit Auntie at her new house while Uncle was on a fishing trip.  It involved travel by land and sea and we had a great time, though it was right after the bridge collapse so we were a bit nervous about traffic on the journey.
We got to go by ferry for part of the trip and the kids enjoyed being on the big boat!

Nearing the house we got to country corners and I had Jaydon get out to take a couple pictures with the painted wooden statues because at some point my grandma helped paint these and it reminded me of her and all the visits to her house.

The weather wasn't that awesome but we got to to enjoy a bit of beach time on Saturday.
Jen's house is a quick little walk down the road to a private (for residents) beach.
We found a sea crab and a sea onion :)
Jaydon liked moving around big sticks and seaweed and Lucy loved standing at the shore and watching the water along with throwing rocks in.

Watching a family of geese out the window Sunday morning.
Tough view to have from your living room :)
We took a walk Sunday morning, it had rained a lot the night before so the kids got to have some fun puddle jumping!

Good thing we all packed our rain boots!

A little hike through the woods around Jen's neighborhood

Saying good-bye from the fire place.  We had a nice visit and look forward to when we can get really sunny weather and do it again.

Clean-up

We had a messy rice dinner one night.  Luckily for us, for now, Jaydon loves to help around the house.  He got to vacuum up some of the grains of rice and thought it was great fun.  As for being in underwear he has decided the less clothes he can wear the better and is continually asking to take off his pants (and shirt).

Citros visit!

We are lucky that the Citros came up to visit us.  They always stay in an awesome house and we just get to eat amazing food and hang out!  Thanks again for coming up Craig, Asia, S and X!
Old Town for breakfast (we often go here both mornings of the visit because it is so awesome)
X and Lucy were totally into the live music!
Jeremy reading stories with S and Jaydon

Ok, I know, embarrassing photo for Jaydon.  He wanted to change into shorts and was taking off his pants waiting for me to get back with the shorts.  Maybe he is just preparing me for the sideways hats and saggy pants in his teenage years.
Playing outside

S and Jaydon having some drinks.

The fish pond on the property.  It is a lovely place with a great view and the food and company can't be beat!

Sesame Street Live

I didn't find out until very last minute that Sesame Street Live was doing their stage production only an hour away from our house.  Needless to say I contacted Jeremy at an airport to coordinate travel and booked tickets about 10 at night for the next mornings show.  Jaydon and I got to have a little mom and son date to attend the event and it was awesome.  We had a blast.
