Happy Halloween!

We had a fun Halloween. We were able to carve some pumpkins after school and then take the kids trick or treating. We have a wonderful neighborhood and love where we are. The kids had a great time and got TONS of candy (I am very thankful for candy buy back programs that get it out of my house before I eat it all). A fun night was had by all and everyone was healthy enough to make it to school the next morning!

 

Kate wanted the ghost, Lucy designed the cat. Jaydon wanted to play with the neighbor.

October Outings and Oddities

We enjoyed a bunch of fun things in October.

If you zoom in you can see the turkeys crossing the parking lot, we see groups of wild turkeys quite a bit, especially funny right before Thanksgiving.

Kate had to go with me to get my TB tests done at a nearby hospital but we found the cool kid area for the Sacramento Kings fans (The NBA team we have adopted until we get the Sonics back)

Since Jaydon and Lucy were heading back from WA by camping their way down with Gma and Gram, Kate and I needed to do some fun things together. I took her to Funderland (a kid amusement park) and we had a blast.

She loved the rides, we went on so many together I got tired but she could have kept going for hours more!

The fun Fall Festival that our kids school put on. It was a great outing and I neglected to get many pics.

Lucy won a round at the cake walk, she is totally my girl. She picked the biggest one left!

Kate and I played Hiss (an amazing game with preschool and lower elementary age kids), she had the big pile, I had the small pile and the leftover cards had two snake heads and tails - super rare!

The kids soccer buttons that they got. At some point I will try posting their team pics but no guarantees I will remember because I have to take a pic of the pic.

Took the girls to a local trunk or treat event at our nearby auto-mall, Jaydon chose to stay home and watch football (shocker).

I was able to chaperone Kate's first school bus field trip. She had a wonderful time at the pumpkin patch.

Oct Awards Assembly

Our kids blow us away! Lucy has gone four trimesters at her new school and won an award all 4 times (which shouldn't happen but since she switched classes last year both of her teachers gave her the HAWKS award). She earned the HAWKS (Hardworking, Accountable, Wise, Kind, Safe) again this time. Jaydon also has been mighty strong in the award category and now that he is in 4th grade he is awarded for grades so they no longer have HAWKS awards but they have Honor Roll (3.3-3.99) and Principal's List (4.9). He earned the Honor Roll award and we are very proud of them. They are really thriving at school!

Kate's Party

We got to have a fun day celebrating Kate. She got ready for her party with sister bath time while Caly and Hobbes looked on. Then we headed to Rockin' Jump (a tramponline park for some play time with 8 kiddos total, 4 of Kate's friends and 2 of Lucy's), after enjoying our jump time we then brought everyone back to our house for cake, ice cream and presents. It was great and Kate had a wonderful time!

The girls enjoy their baths and the 'kittens' are very intrigued.
