Lucy's note

Our neighbors who are like another set of grandparents to the kids are moving away and it has definitely impacted Lucy.  She is carrying a bit of worry and anxiousness about it which has led to her not being as kind as she normally is.  This is a note she wrote and colored apologizing to another neighbor for not being very nice.

It is fun to see her drawing skills really improve, she had a rainbow and a person and then I do dots which she traces over for the words.

Happy 11th Anniversary

Haha, so us, on our anniversary these are the only pics I got.  Jaydon and Lucy helping Dad open his gift from me.  It was the steel anniversary so I got him some Stihl garden tools.
Jeremy's smirk/scowl is alive and well :-)

Kate milestones

I went in to get Kate after a nap and I found her sitting up.  This was her first time getting from flat down to sitting by herself, then pulling up to her knees soon after.  The crib mattress is now lowered and we have a proud girl on our hands.

Last Soccer Practice

A couple quick shots of our last soccer practice.  It was hot but for the most part the kids had a good time.

King's Court

We got home from NC right in time to meet up with Granny and Papa at the M's game.  I sent Jaydon and Jeremy as it would have been too late for the ladies of the house - and Jaydon is obsessed with our home town teams.  They had a fabulous night, they got on the big screen at the game a couple times, onto the TV broadcast and one camera guy recorded Jaydon for a couple minutes to maybe use on a clip at another time.  Not to mention spending time with family, the only thing that would have made it better would have been an M's win.

cotton candy!
Getting a new squishy ball and bat for indoor use
Jaydon and Jeremy took the bus down to the game and some people they were next to on the bus were impressed with Jaydon's baseball knowledge, they told him to go see Officer Pierre in center field and so they headed that way and Officer Pierre got him a ball that Rodney was throwing in the bullpen!  So fun.

North Carolina Day 3 and Father's Day

Bitter sweet having to say good-bye.  We look forward to our next visit.
Great-Grandma Carol with Gavin
Great Uncle Bill and Jaydon
We had to pack up and leave as everyone else was getting ready to go to Gavin's baptism.
Grandma was watching Kate while we packed up, Kate gave up and fell asleep like this!
Carol, Jay, Bill
Jessica, Jay, Carol, Michael, Bill
Sally, Jay, Carol, Bill
Karolina, Susan, Sarah, Nancy, Jay, Jessica, Michael, Jaydon, Carol, Sally, Kate, Bill, Rich, Lucy

Jeremy was taking the picture and Matthew was getting baby Gavin ready so they missed out on the group photo, not great timing as it was Father's Day and the Dads should have been in there but we were all trying to hurry about getting ready to leave.  It was such a wonderful visit, we can't wait to go back.

North Carolina Day 2

Ahh, another day at the lake, pure bliss!
We started the day with a fly fishing clinic put on by some professional guides.  We had fun learning to cast into hula hoops.
Michael's braid hat is awesome

Jessica and Great Uncle Bill took the kids to the store across the way while we were fishing, they had a great time.

Spoiled with ice cream and candy!
Jaydon saw Michael do this at their night swim so he and Lucy both tried it that night.  He surprised us all the next day by jumping off that 12 foot dock about 20 times.  It was so awesome.

Kate loved her little mini pool in the floaty
Jeremy jumping in.

They caught one, don't strain your eyes trying to see the fish :-)
Hot, tired kiddos after another wonderful day.

Kate is 8 months

We celebrated Kate turning 8 months while in North Carolina.  She traveled extremely well but of course didn't sleep all that well on a cramped airplane or in a hot room with everyone else.  She has started eating more textured food and self feeding at this stage.  She isn't always sure she likes it but does pretty well.  She still loves her pouches of food that she sucks down too.  She is getting closer to crawling and can definitely scooch and roll herself a little bit around the room to get where she wants to go but for the most part stays pretty stationary.  She has one tooth sticking up and we are waiting for the others to join.  Blowing motor boats and spitting/drooling and saying "ahhhhhhh" are her favorite vocalizations.  She isn't signing yet but pretty good at answering us when we ask her if she wants more or all done she will wave her arms around when you say the one she wants.  She continues to laugh at her siblings antics and give good snuggles.
trying scrambled eggs for the first time

She is a water baby like her older sister.  She loves to spend time in the water and the lake was pretty darn perfect.
