Family Day

We enjoyed a fun day after Thanksgiving at home as a family.  Jeremy and the kids watched a Thanksgiving movie while Kate took a nap, we cooked up our own Thanksgiving meal to enjoy leftovers and we decorated for Christmas.  It was a wonderful day/weekend.

Happy Thanksgiving

We are so blessed, we have so much to be thankful for and are just extremely grateful to be able to spend Thanksgiving with family.  We headed to Jeremy's sister's house this year with her family and it was a joyous occasion.  Kids, laughter, great food, good conversations and a decent does of sarcasm.  Lucy loved Penny the Leopard Gecko, Kate loved Uncle David giving her fruit loops, and Jaydon got a chance to play some big kid games with everyone.

Wow, I can't wait to have teenagers (I know did I really just say that :-)), the boys did kitchen detail.

Puzzle time, Lucy was a big helper.

These pictures don't do this event justice, Uncle David squirting whip cream right into Kate's mouth.  She had so much sugar tonight we'll see what tomorrow brings.

Family Movie Night

We don't do this very often and need to get better about it but we enjoyed a fun family movie night.  Elmo Visits Grouchland was the movie of choice, and the kids enjoyed it.  Though the bad guy was a little scary for Lucy.  Popcorn, snuggles and fun family time in our jammies - doesn't get much better.

Crazy Wind Storm

The Northwest got hit with an insane windstorm that left people without power all across our state.  Trees down, roads closed, cold temps it was pretty incredible.  We lost power but were very lucky that we were only without it for a few hours two different times, friends just a couple cul de sacs away had it out for 2.5 days and many people in the Spokane area were without it for much longer.  Fortunately, I was able to get all the candles and flashlights ready before taking Lucy to dance and we had plenty of PBJ for dinner :-)

Grandma's Party Day 2

For Day 2 of Grandma's party we all got to enjoy the hotel breakfast and then venture to the pool.  The kids had a fabulous time swimming around and playing in the water.  Then we headed to Great Grandma's apartment complex for a party with the people she lives with. We are so thankful we had such a good reason to get together and celebrate - Happy 80th Birthday Great Grandma!

WWU Volleyball

I did not do a great job of getting pictures but we enjoyed getting to see cousin Joellee play for the WWU volleyball team.  Her sister Aubrey was also there though is still recovering from a knee injury and didn't play.  Wow, they are amazing. This match was between the two top ranked teams in the conference and while WWU lost it was a great battle.  So fun and we look forward to making it to another match next year.
Kate loved the band and Jaydon was really into the action. Lucy was very tired :-)
