Bellingham Weekend - WWU Volleyball

We got lucky that our Bellingham weekend coincided with WWU volleyball family weekend. We were able to go and watch cousins Joelee and Aubrey play in a scrimmage and then have some yummy food.

I was bad and got 2 pics of the girls on the court. This one they were running lines.

The family at the restaurant!

Baseball

Jaydon is playing baseball, he is thrilled (unless he has practice or a game when he wants to be watching the Mariners). He had his first game and we got a few pictures. He is doing well and having fun.

One excited boy at the end of game 1.

At his second game a few days later it was mighty cold and windy. Kate was hiding away in her very own little tent.

WWU Volleyball

We got to go up to Bellingham and watch our cousins Joellee and Aubrey play for the Viking volleyball team. It was a fun night and we loved getting to see them play.  They are again on to the regional tourney ranked pretty highly.  Go Viks!

Flag Football

Jaydon started playing flag football through the local Y.  We sure have enjoyed the Y sports programs for just a fun way to get out and be exposed to a bunch of different sports.  He is enjoying football but it is baseball season for the Mariners so he is definitely obsessed with baseball right now.

Some of the many siblings who come and play on the big field during the games.

QB

Bob and Sonny came to watch, the girls were in heaven.

Fun for all.

More Basketball

Jaydon continued to enjoy basketball season and I had fun coaching his team.
Working on some skills

He's off!
Taking a picture of a picture isn't the best option but here are Jaydon's individual and team photos from the season.

Mariners FanFest

We enjoyed going to the M's FanFest for our second year in a row.  It was a bit chilly but the kids had a good time.
Visiting the Hall of Fame area, we are planning to go to a game on the Griffey Jr. induction weekend at Safeco, it should be fun.

Trying to rob a home run!

Lucy was just starting to feel better so she took it easy a lot of the time.
Around the stadium and on the field

Kate got her foot on the base this year

Hanging out in a real major league dug out, pretty cool.  Jaydon is definitely excited for baseball season to start.

Jaydon plays basketball

We signed Jaydon up for basketball this winter and I volunteered to be a coach.  Both of us had a great time and we look forward to doing it again.  This was his first game and getting pictures of youth basketball players while the game is happening is a challenging feat.  Thanks Grandma for trying to snap a few on my camera.

It is pretty chaotic but still a lot of fun and Jaydon had a great time and learned a lot, just what we were hoping for.
