Jeremy and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary on June 27th and had a wonderful evening. First I have to mention how creative my husband is. We have been following the traditional anniversary gift ideas each year and year 5 the gift is supposed to be wood. We both struggled a bit to come up with ideas and while I think Jeremy enjoyed his gift I was blown away by what he gave me. I open this long box and inside is a 5 wood! How perfect, 5 years, and a 5 wood (though it isn't actually made of wood, it was much better and more creative). In addition there was a gift certificate to get a new set of golf clubs which I have been in need of for quite awhile.

Kelsey and Tyler Get Married
It was such a great wedding and I was so happy to play a part in it. Kelsey (my sister in AZ) did an incredible job getting everything ready and pretty much making every single thing; the decorations, flowers, fake cake etc.

Getting Ready for Kelsey and Tyler's Wedding
I am still trying to figure out blogging so some of these are a bit out of order and I hope next time I can actually enter a few more pictures. Here is a picture of Jenny on the morning of the wedding getting ready at the nails place.

At the rehearsal the night before - sure put the guy who just broke his knee and the pregnant woman wearing high heels together :-) It worked out well that the guys escorted us up and back from the alter - no slips or spills.

Kelsey and her dad practicing...it took awhile to get the feet thing correct and of course the chicken walk is always appropriate leading down the aisle.

Running Out of Space
For those of you who know me, you know I like to have things in order and be neat. After my baby shower I had a ton of baby stuff all throughout our small two bedroom apartment and could not figure out what to do with it. Finally after a couple days of living with a changing pad on the kitchen table and bags and boxes everywhere I decided the guest bathtub was the best solution. I have piled all that I can in there (minus the stroller and the pack n' play). I can't wait to move into the three bedroom apartment so that we can actually put the babies stuff in his room versus the bath. Good news we should be able to move a couple weeks early so we will be getting into the three bedroom in the next couple weeks! Yah Hoo!

Higgins has decided that one of his favorite places to sleep is in with the baby stuff. He climbs into this white bag that is full of tissue paper (covering towels and blankets) that resides in the carseat. It took awhile to find him the first time but now when we don't see him it is a good bet he is in his spot. I sure hope the baby likes cats and that the cats like the baby.

Baby Shower
I had a fantastic baby shower on Saturday June 13th in Alger. I was so impressed with my friends traveling so far to make it that I felt truly honored. It was great weather, great food and great company. Thank you all for making the day so much better than I had even anticipated. I was bad in the picture arena but luckily Auntie Lorie snapped a couple.

Opening a portable baby swing and cute little stuffed teddy bear/blanket that reminds me of my childhood bunny that I couldn't part with. Grandma and Graham new what they were doing when they picked this out.

Sorry, one of the few photos of others...Jen, Grandma, Kristen and Gabriel. Note the cute decorations and wonderful garden setting.

Mama Lainie and Papa John know I like hunting for all kinds of things so they set up a great scavenger hunt with orienteering. I didn't show off my skills with the compass as well as I would have liked but found the wonderful gift at the end eventually.
Thanks Wendy for planning and everyone for attending - it was great.

Joys of Pregnancy...#2

Trying to get comfortable by building a castle of pillows so I could finally lie on my stomach. This worked for a short amount of time.
I was not going to post this picture for anyone to see - ever. But after going through all this work to even figure out how to get my photos saved so that I can use them I changed my mind. At some point I may actually enjoy seeing this picture, not yet. I am glad my CNM (nurse/midwife) gave me a suggestion of using a towel or small blanket under my belly when lying down. It has helped so that the past couple of nights I have actually been able to stay in bed and only wake up 2-3 times instead of getting up contstantly and finally just moving to the couch. Oh and for those who are curious, I am cheating and editing the date of the post to more acurately reflect the day of the picture or event since I have not been great about keeping up.
