Oscar's Visit

It was Kate's turn to have their class buddy Oscar join us for the weekend. We are supposed to do some fun things and write about it before returning him to class. The bummer is that the devastating Camp Fire in Paradise, CA has caused our air quality to be so bad we haven't been able to do any of the fun things we were planning...no worries we had some indoor fun.

Siblings

 Ah, siblings!  Right now Jaydon and Lucy are fighting a lot so it is fun to see cute pics of them being sweet.

Vacay to B'ham, part 1

We had made plans months in advance to have a weekend away in Bellingham with our friends.  The rental was booked and thankfully Lucy was pretty healthy by Friday morning.  We arrived and had fun playing in the apartment we rented before seeing some friends in Ferndale.

Sibling love

Lucy and Jaydon are both amazing big siblings.  They love baby Kate and want to hold her and take care of her as much as possible.  I feel very blessed to have the wonderful complete family that I do!  Here are a bunch of photos from many different days of the kids getting to hold Kaitlyn.

I feel really blessed that my kids have such a great time with each other, there is definitely a lot of love between these two.  Pillow playtime on mom and dads bed is pretty fun!

When I can't get in to Lucy's room right away when she gets up I will send Jaydon in and he keeps her company.  Here he climbed in the crib to read stories

Sibs and Projects

The days were hot and the house was hotter so we spent a lot of time this week outside!  Snacks on the deck sounds good!

Jaydon made this sock plant at Sunday School and it sprouted into very cool sock grass, he was quite proud.

We went to a library event where they had a couple miniature ponies to pet and a bookmark craft to do.  Jaydon's is on top and Lucy's is on the bottom.  

Kiddos

Lucy and Jaydon get along so well.  They play and chase and tackle and really do enjoy spending time together.

Jaydon made a bunch of 'flowers' with his straws and connectors.  Thanks again Citros - he loves those!

Lucy is a very independent child.  She has a strong will (I wonder where her stubbornness comes from :)), she has entered the do everything herself stage and it is really not my favorite (particularly at meal time).  I love that she wants to do it and I let her but I am pretty tired of the absolute mess that is made at every meal everywhere!  I don't think she owns clothes that aren't completely stained at this point.  But, look at her smile, she is pretty proud of herself!

Hangin' at home

We had a stretch in mid-June where we had a lot of time playing at home.  We spent quite a bit of time outside in nice weather and I neglected to take photos but we had some indoor activities too.

Jaydon and Lucy wanted to play dress-up.  Lucy has dresses and Jaydon wants to have some too so I had to hunt through some of Lucy's larger size hand-me-downs to find something he could wear.

Another video I am trying to figure out why it won't work.  This one is of the kids dancing, somewhat reminiscent to Jaydon's awesome dancing at the fourth of July events in 2011.

Cute Sibs

Jaydon sees Lucy wearing something and he wants to wear it too.  So if Lucy has no pants, Jaydon has no pants, if Lucy wears a dress or a skirt Jaydon is very disappointed that we don't own one in his size. 

I found them one morning sitting like this, I honestly don't know who got their stool first but it was pretty darn cute!

Lucy now has her own nalgene water bottle to match brothers!

Jaydon (and Lucy) were forming their own barricade - now if only they had started singing "One Day More" it would have been perfect!  Points if you can identify the show I am referring to.
