RA reunion bbq

We got a chance to get together with some of my friends from my RA days, it was a great chance to catch up and while we were having fun I neglected to get out the camera.  I did snap this one picture which doesn't really show much of anything but figured I would put it in so in a few years when I read back through this blog I can remember that the event did actually happen!  Thanks for hosting Kristen and David, it was great.

Trip to Auntie and Uncles

I got spoiled after a really long stretch of no overnights for my kids, they went camping with Grandma and Gram and then off to visit Auntie and Uncle for two nights.  Jaydon and Lucy had a blast with Jen and L and of course playing with Baby E.

I forgot to bring my camera and get photos of their arrival in Edmonds, they came across in the Whaler (little fishing boat) and had a marvelous time. Thanks Auntie and Uncle for such a wonderful two days.

Kate is 10 months

Kate just got to experience a bit of tough love to get her through the night without getting to have mommy snuggles.  I held on a bit because she is my last baby and is so stinkin' cute.  She is 10 months old and really loves to pull up on everything.  She stands a lot but doesn't necessarily take steps or cruise around stuff yet.  She is thrilled to be able to reach a new world of things she probably shouldn't be and baby proofing is an every day process with the older kids and their small pieces. I still need to get a good picture of her sleeping, her starting out position is always on her side with her legs pulled up her hands tucked together right below her chin and her head tipped back almost 90 degrees.  It is precious, she also has her favorite hospital pacifier that stays in her crib and she does use it (and also throws it out on occasion which makes for exciting times).  Kate has mastered waving bye-bye and even tries to verbalize a bit bu-bu while she waves.  It is very cute and she understands when you ask her to wave bye-bye she will often do it, if the situation calls for it. If no one is leaving she wonders why you are trying to get her to wave at someone sitting right next to her :-)  She also has started signing a bit, all done, more and milk have been done but she doesn't do it all the time. When we ask if she is all done or wants more she will pretty easily verbalize and show excitement for the option she wants rather than always signing it.  She eats really well and loves her veggies and fruits, she no longer has any food intolerances.  She is so fun and happy and cute that we all just love her and are so very thankful for her.

Higgins

Oh Higgins, he is such a love, on his terms with his few chosen ones.  He loves Lucy and Kate though certainly not all the time.

Camping

Grandma and Gram took Jaydon and Lucy camping up near the border and they had  a wonderful three night trip.  The campground, while not exactly their cup of tea for a restful camping trip by themselves, was great for having kids.  The two pools, playground and low speed limit for easy bike riding made it great for Jaydon and Lucy.  I drove up with Kate on Wed and stayed at a friends to also have some fun Thursday.  It worked out really well and while I only have a couple pics Gram took I hope to get a few more of their swimming adventure to add.

Grandma and Gram always wear them out!  A good time was had by all.  They were both alseep on the first picture but it was too dark so this next one with the flash has a little smile from Jaydon.

Cousins visit

Cousins Marya, Stephen, and Owen came over to visit and we had a lovely time with them.  Owen and Kate enjoyed having another baby around to look at and tackle/poke/slobber on.
