Rodeo Day

Lucy had the time of her life (so far) at horse camp. She was so excited to get to ride her horse and show off all her new skills to us on rodeo day (the last day of the camp).  We were excited to be able to head up and see her. (Of course it was a fast turn around having to get Jaydon from his last day of camp and then jetting up to Lucy's farm.  Unfortunately Jaydon's camp was not very good so we don't have pics of that but he did still have some fun).
Lucy introducing us all to Walter her horse.

We asked her horses name the first night she came home and she couldn't remember, that night as she was lying in bed trying to sleep she came running in to tell me she remembered his name was Peanut. Well we called her horse peanut for 2 days and then she came home and said she was wrong and his name was Walter.  She had been thinking of his color, he is a chestnut horse.

Riding up into the arena to show off her skills

She loved her pony and she did a really great job on her skills

One video she is displaying her turning skills, the next one she is participating in a race against another team where the first person to give a high five to the teacher and get back wins (she did great and won her heat).
I have a feeling we will be doing plenty of horse camps in the coming years!

The Girls' New Room

We had new neighbors move in and they had two extra twin beds that they were getting rid of. We were the lucky recipients of those beds. So the move is official. Lucy moved out of Jaydon's room and into her old room with Kate. They are both thrilled with their big girl beds and while I happened to be able to set it up with stuff we already had in the house I imagine at some time we might get more matching blankets or some such thing. Surprisingly they have been really easy together, they go right to sleep at night when they are supposed to - knock on wood.

Kid's to Camp

How fun, Lucy got to do horse camp for a week through our Y and Jaydon got to do baseball camp.
Lucy was up super early and came into my room dressed and ready to go. She was so excited!
I picture of the kids at home before we left for camp, Kate of course had to be included though she just got to hang out.
Dropping her off for the day.
Kate and Lily hanging on the deck while big sibs are at camp.
Jaydon's camp only goes til noon, Lucy's til 4:30 so we had some time the first day to go hang out with friends after Jaydon was done before picking up Lucy.
Kate enjoyed the spray park

Happy Birthday Jeremy

We had a fun evening celebrating Dad's birthday.
Lucy made these matching crowns at the YMCA to celebrate.
I went to the French Bakery for an assortment of desserts for us all to try

Lucy made Dad a tower and then helped open his presents

Happy Birthday Honey!  We love you so much.

I thought these were fitting to put in here. I can't remember the exact date he did this but his company is launching a new product. Part of that launch meant he had to visit the same offices 4 times in a week, that is a lot. So my creative and fun husband got this 'disguise' so when he went into the offices the last days of the week he announced himself as Leremy not Jeremy. He had fun and the clinics did too!

Kids

When we got home from our vacation we had a day or two to relax before jumping into busy times again.
Lucy has been playing cribbage which is a lot of fun. This hand was dealt by her to get the game started while I was finishing a quick shower. Little did I know she had rigged the deck. I was delighted by my hand though bummed that I had to throw her a pair. Then when we started pegging I realized I'd been duped. She gave herself the 3 5s.
The kids building with blocks and playing nicely together

We did a one day VBS through our church. It was fun and busy.

Kodiak

With some good timing we were able to plan our trip up to coincide with Jeremy's 20 year reunion. We had fun visiting with his former classmates and hanging out a few times over the last couple days of the trip.
I found this gem being passed around from HS, too bad I never got my hands on the picture some of his friends claimed existed of a somewhat infamous pole dance involving my dear husband.
Jeremy's graduation stein. Just what all 18 year olds should get after graduation :-)

Then of course it was time to say good-bye!  No one ever enjoys that time of the trip but we got one last pic with Granny and Papa. We can't wait til we see them again.
