The kids love their new PJs from Granny and Papa, they insisted on another photo shoot at home.

The Girls' New Room

We had new neighbors move in and they had two extra twin beds that they were getting rid of. We were the lucky recipients of those beds. So the move is official. Lucy moved out of Jaydon's room and into her old room with Kate. They are both thrilled with their big girl beds and while I happened to be able to set it up with stuff we already had in the house I imagine at some time we might get more matching blankets or some such thing. Surprisingly they have been really easy together, they go right to sleep at night when they are supposed to - knock on wood.

My sickies

We have had quite a stretch of kiddos being sick this winter and I decided to take a friends advice and move a mini mattress into our room next to our bed to get through a couple of the hard nights.  It was definitely helpful with Lucy throwing up all night one night.  After they were feeling better they all decided to play on it a bit.

Lucy's new bed

With the new baby due to arrive in about a month it was time to get Lucy her new bed.  She will be sharing a room with her brother and there was a perfect spot for her toddler bed to fit.  She and her brother were thrilled about the new bed. They have shared a room a couple nights and we have also had Lucy back in her crib a few times as we don't truly need her room for the baby for a little while.

Higgins has probably slept in her bed more than she has but here she made sure to cover him with her blanky to make him more comfortable.

Story Snuggles

Higgins was actually just really hungry and wanted his dinner but he jumped up and joined Lucy and me for story time  She was thrilled!

I have been loving our bedtime routines with both kids - reading stories with each of them and then having some snuggle time.  It sure is a fabulous time of day connecting with my kiddos!

Sleepy Guy

Jaydon enjoys his evening story time and I love that I found him this way one night after we had already had lights out.  He turned on his light, found his book and fell asleep reading.  Like mother, like son, I think Jeremy puts my book away for me half the time :-)
