Pics

I took some pics of Kate one day wondering if I should submit her name or pic somewhere, kind of doubt I want to put any effort into things and would probably need to actually spend more than 5 min trying to get her to take a good pic but oh well.

 Our neighbor took the girls to the park one afternoon and got a few fun pics of them.

Snow

Oh my gosh, these pictures kill me. We had a little bit of snow coming down and the girls got very excited. Lucy got down and out all of their snow stuff she helped Kate get dressed and they headed outside (I did not help a bit until they got to the garage and needed help putting on one mitten).  Then they started making a snowman.

I didn't think they would be able to build a snow man with the 'massive' quantities we had but they did it!  A few leaves thrown in for character.

I am proud of their determination and initiative.

 We ran up to Bellingham for another volleyball match and swung by our old neighborhood. We were going to check on the house and our old neighbors. I was surprised to find my rose bush still in bloom in early November with snow. That thing is hearty. Thanks Angie for the plant years ago.

The Girls' New Room

We had new neighbors move in and they had two extra twin beds that they were getting rid of. We were the lucky recipients of those beds. So the move is official. Lucy moved out of Jaydon's room and into her old room with Kate. They are both thrilled with their big girl beds and while I happened to be able to set it up with stuff we already had in the house I imagine at some time we might get more matching blankets or some such thing. Surprisingly they have been really easy together, they go right to sleep at night when they are supposed to - knock on wood.

 Lucy and Kate are at a fun age where they can really play together. I often hear Kate yell "mom" and when I answer she says "no, you're not the mom, Lucy's the mom." Lot's of dolls and dress up and pretend happen with these girls.

Misc. End of April

Well if you follow along regularly, I apologize. I'm not sure I've ever gone 4 months between posts before. Oops, life is getting crazy. I will try in the next week or so to get us caught up but we shall see. Jeremy has another work trip which involves taking the computer so that makes it a lot harder to update stuff.

At the end of April Jaydon got a bit sick, bummer I didn't get the camera out before Higgins got up to leave (Higgins was also getting more sick around this time).

Kate found some shoes in her closet and had fun playing with a variety of looks.

Evidently we had a bunny in our yard.

Higgins is ailing, I have decided pretty much any picture of him from this point on I will post because I know we won't have a ton of them left.

Nails

One of Lucy's birthday presents was a nail polish kit and book. She was thrilled, I was a little less thrilled - my skills are not strong in this area.  We did some fun polka dot nails for Kate and tried to do some flowers for Lucy. They loved the end result even if it didn't look amazing to my eyes.

 

 That same night I was cooking dinner and then found Kate had gotten into the kit and got the black nail polish all over her feet (and my house) trying to paint her nails. It was quite a mess and the picture above was taken after some of the clean up.

A Lucy pony

 Kate and Lucy were playing and Kate was the driver while Lucy was the pony. I think it soon changed to Lucy being reindeer which may have made Kate Santa but I'm not certain.

A fort

We had some fun with a fort.  Kate even tried taking a nap in it, she stayed still and rested but couldn't quite fall asleep so after 30 minutes we moved her back to her crib. The girls had a great time.

Sleep and Play

Lucy and Jaydon switched beds for a time and one morning I found Lucy sleeping at the end of the bed.  She continues to suck her thumb and while I haven't had thoughts of working too hard to break the habit we will see how that comes about in time.  

Kate loves to climb up on the loft bed and play with toys, she and sister were being good mommies to their dollies.  Well, Lucy was being a good mommy, Kate was drinking the baby's bottle.
