Citros visit

We had a great time when Sophie, Xander and Asia came to visit.  The kids got to play and Asia and I got to catch up a bit.  Sophie and Xander loved baby Kate and the kids all had some fun.  Xander was discovering all of our light switches (we had so many to play with) so he missed out on the photo shoot.  It was an awesome morning!

My kiddos

Jaydon and Lucy love being big siblings and Kate loves her older brother and sister.  Some kid pictures to enjoy!

Lego time

Jaydon and Lucy had a great time playing with their giant Legos (Quatros, I think).  Jaydon is into the Ninja Turtles so he made the four turtles and Lucy likes building tall towers.

Dave gets to visit

We got a chance to have our friend Dave visit from HI, we missed the rest of his family but were thankful for a quick opportunity to catch up while he was on a business trip.

Surrounded by Smoldons (even Higgins wanted to cuddle)

This also happened to be Valentine's Day and while we did some fun family stuff I neglected to get any pics of our heart shaped pizza making or present opening.

Mattress Fun

Once, maybe twice, a year I bring out the guest mattress and let the kids have some fun jumping around.  Jeremy's new job has had a ton of travel these first few months so towards the end of another week by myself with the kiddos I decided we needed something fun to occupy our time.  The kids had a great time and were really starting to do some more tumbling onto the mattress than just jumping.

Shoes

I think every kid should get to play around in their parents shoes at times.  Jaydon and Lucy raided my closet and had a great time trying on different shoes one morning.

Fun at Home craft

Our good friend Asia who blogs at funathomewithkids.com wrote a cool book 150+ Screen-free activities for kids and Lucy and I tried out the puffy painting one.  We had a great time mixing together the ingredients, creating our masterpieces and then microwaving them to make it puff up.  Lucy keeps asking to do it again, now I just need to get some more food coloring or liquid water-colors to make pretty colors.
