Hawaii Day 2

What am amazing day 2 of our vacation.  We really just hung out at the resort we stayed at which had a lagoon, an ocean beach and a ton of pools.  What a fun relaxing day just the 5 of us.
Exploring the lagoon after an early breakfast (the time change definitely had us at breakfast at about 6am).

Sand in her fingers and toes
Cut across to the ocean to explore the waves

Meandered through the resort past the ponds.

We did not nail the cute kid photo.

Back at our own hotel we had a bird lay an egg on our deck and then went down to the pool in our own hotel.

Loved seeing these smiles all day long!

Then we headed to the beach for play and a picnic lunch

Next we headed to the hotel for a quick rest for Kate and the older kids read a story with Dad.  Then off to the next pool with waterslides!

Then that evening after dinner we stayed up to watch the firework show and we could zoom in on the luau happening below our building in the resort.

That was a whole lot crammed into one day but it was amazing.

Hawaii Day 1

We were crazy and decided to leave for a family vacation to Hawaii the morning after the school year ended.  It was a crazy start getting everything ready but we all traveled well and the kids love staying in a hotel.
Our first day we arrived only in time for some dinner and sleep but the kids bounced around in the hotel and we enjoyed the view off of our back patio.

Not a bad place to just sit and relax!

Aloha to Kindergarten

Right after Grandma's party we headed to Jaydon's school to celebrate his last day of school with an Aloha to Kindergarten party. He had such an amazing first year of school and we are so thrilled.  We are thankful for his teacher and all the staff and educators at the school who made this such a great start for him.
Playing some games

Watching their end of the year slide show and eating some popsicles.

Grandma Retires

We had a wonderful time celebrating the end of the school year with Grandma and her staff and welcoming in her retirement. After spending her life teaching PE and working at a HS (or her early years working at a CC), she is ready to enjoy some time away fishing, camping and bike riding with Gram. Congrats Mom!

Grandma's principal giving a short speech about all she has meant to the school.

Kate is my daughter - I guess I have to teach her not to lick her dessert plate in public, that is only for at home :-)
All of us at the retirement celebration!

Kindergarten Concert

What a fun night to celebrate our kindergartener!  They performed a lovely concert and then we went back to the classrooms and got their end of the year video and Very Hungry Kindergartener book that each student made.  I will have to take pictures of Jaydon's sometime, it is quite awesome (I am also biased)!

Jaydon with his teacher and his certificate. It was a great year for all of us.
