Playing at home

After being on the move like crazy it was fun to just hang out at home for a few days.  The kids loved playing in the memory foam mattress topper.  Lucy enjoys her hula outfit that our neighbors brought back for her from their trip to Hawaii.  And Kate is often found getting into my purse and playing with all kinds of stuff I probably should be better about telling her not to play with.

Heading home

We were ready to head home after two nights in the hospital, the beds left a bit to be desired.

Our new house

I am a bit of a work-a-holic when I have something I want to get done.  So unpacking the house and getting settled was a priority for me.  I managed to do it in four days and it is so great to just have it done and organized and livable.  We have a few purchases that need to be made but those will have to wait til we can accumulate a little more savings.

Ahh... the disaster that is the playroom.  Can't wait to have some organization stuff going in there.  The other side of this room has another fireplace with our two couches and tv.  It is a great open rec room area but I didn't get a good photo.

Ah bliss, an organized garage.  Now if only we could get a working remote for the garage door opener so I can pull into the garage to park.

We are happy to have more space!  And are really enjoying our new neighborhood/

Wildlife sighting

We have a family of deer who love to travel around our cul-de-sac.  They walk behind our house most of the time but sometimes pass on one side and then cross in front to head up the hill towards our neighbors with fun gardens and flowers to eat.  Jaydon enjoys watching them when they come by and Lucy hasn't gotten to interested yet but it seems like that could change soon.

Home!

We made it home! Lucy was a champ on the car ride (hopefully that continues through all the traveling we will do this weekend).

Higgins saying "hello," he didn't walk up onto her this time and in fact it seemed a bit old hat to him. He just sort of took a peek, thought "oh, I've been here before" and headed on his way.

Jaydon thought it would be nice to share a good-night story with Lucy on the chair. Dad read to them both and it was so stinkin' cute. Lucy has a very loving big brother.

More story-time

This morning Jaydon saying hello to Lucy.

He is all smiles and really does love being around her and showing things.

Sweet and snuggly - we are having some latch problems and she is not eating all that well but we will get there. She only manages to do a couple minutes of feeding before falling back asleep.

Home repairs

Thank goodness we bought our bigger car. Since we have gotten back into our house we have made a number of purchases and little improvements. It is nice (though expensive). Here we bought a storm door and some light fixtures. We did manage to fit all three of us in the car with the storm door! Feel free to come visit and see our updates.
