Kate's 2nd Birthday Party

We had a great day celebrating Kate turning 2. She is so cute singing the happy birthday song to herself, trying to hold up 2 fingers and just loving life turning 2.
She insisted on wearing this birthday outfit, it had a big 1 on the chest so Dad printed out a 2 with her favorite Sesame characters.

Enjoying some chili dinner before dessert.
Uncle L resting before baby number 2 arrives in about a month.
Yumm!  Pumpkin spice cupcakes with cinnamon cream cheese frosting - delicious.

Cousin E approves
Opening presents, she had so much fun and really loved everything she got.

So excited about her new rain boots

She had to go out into the rain to try out her new coat and boots.  She loved it but was super sad when she came back in and couldn't wear them anymore because they were all wet.  I had to dry them off so she could go back to smiling and wearing them again.

Pumpkin Patch

We had a wonderful and wet visit to a local pumpkin farm during the Akanas visit.  It was great to have them stay with us for a few days and to get to partake in some rainy northwest fun after they showed us around Hawaii in the summer.

One last Hawaii pic

When we got together with the Akana's Amy showed me this picture from our trip to Hawaii. I had to make it its own post so that people would actually see it (and I added it to our Hawaii posts). Lucy sure loves animals.

Kate found a National Geographic, she was quite the studious reader :-)

A fort

We had some fun with a fort.  Kate even tried taking a nap in it, she stayed still and rested but couldn't quite fall asleep so after 30 minutes we moved her back to her crib. The girls had a great time.

Lucy Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

Grandma got to take Lucy on her school field trip. This is such a great picture of them with Lucy's pumpkin that she picked - she picked the exact same kind of pumpkin I would pick.

A visit from AZ family

We were so excited to be able to host Kelsey, Tyler, Piper, Ferris and Andie for a night and have all the local family over to celebrate them being in town.  The cousins ran around like crazy having a wonderful time and the two generations of adults had a chance to chat and catch up.  It was a lot of fun I only wish we could have spent more time together (and remembered to take a large group family photo).

Dinner time, Tyler needed some quiet time

Closing out the night playing the new Pie in your face game. (Thanks Uncles Jeff and Steve).
Etienne wasn't so sure what just happened but he tried it!
Piper loved it, she kept wanting more so she could eat the whip cream of course!
Tyler got Kels with a bit of cream after his turn.
Everyone had a good time.
Jaydon kept doing it and surprisingly didn't get pied the first 3 times, he then just kept turning the clicker because he wanted some whip cream.

Here are a bunch of videos of the pie in your face fun.
