Trip to AZ - Day 2

What a fun day in AZ, since it was a work day for most we enjoyed some family time in the morning and then headed over that afternoon to catch up with our friends who moved to AZ a year ago.

The housing area Auntie Kelsey and Uncle Tyler live in have some great parks and playgrounds that we enjoyed.

After heading back to the house for some quiet time we loaded the car to head to the Tutrow's for dinner and more play time.

When we got home it was time to get ready for bed.  The four oldest cousins were attempting to sleep in the same room, story time was fun but after two hours of no actual sleeping we moved them back to separate rooms. 

It was a beautiful day and so fun to have time to spend with family, good friends and just relaxing as our own family of five.

Trip to AZ - Day 1

Right after Jaydon's Fun Run, we pulled him out of school, picked up Lucy from preschool and headed to the airport.  We were so excited to get to travel to AZ to visit with family and friends and even take in a M's Spring Training game.  Day one was busy with travel and unfortunately a delayed flight but we did get to AZ in tine to wish Uncle Tyler a Happy Birthday and get a picture of the six cousins together for the first time.

Jaydon's school fun run

Jaydon had a really fun school fundraiser.  The Apex Fun Run was great and not only did the kids get exercise, they learned some great lessons throughout the week from their classroom coaches.  I was volunteering to mark off laps so I didn't get any pictures of the running but they sure had a good time and worked hard.

Bunny

A stray bunny made an appearance in the neighborhood.  It is clearly not a wild bunny but we aren't sure it if was lost or let loose.  Either way Kate is loving it and wants to spend a lot of time outside looking for the bunny and feeding it carrots.  She hasn't gotten to touch it yet but she does try.

Higgins

 Our beloved Higgins is getting older.  Jeremy keeps pointing out that he is still doing really well but I just keep noticing that he is losing weight and wanting more to drink etc.  He has been in for his check-ups and things are still looking good so it isn't as though I need to be taking a million more photos of him but that seems to be the case. He is becoming very snuggly and he has always had a special relationship with Lucy.  There will probably be many photos in the coming months of Higgins with his people.  Lucy is good at giving him the snuggles he craves.

Family Photos

Wendy from Lensart photography (a neighbor of my mom who did our wedding pictures) took some family portraits for us - finally.  These are the first photos we have done with our family and it was a lot of fun.  I thought I had posted these a long time ago but looked back through and realized they weren't on the blog yet.  They were taken in September/October of '15.  We love them!

Our Band

 The kids had a fun evening putting on a show for the adults.  They made quite the impressive band!
