Jen visits

Due to a tree nearly falling on their house Jen and Etienne headed our way to get out of the danger zone.  We were happy to have them and enjoyed our cousin time.

Lucy loves Etienne

I thought this series of pictures was funny.  Kate and Etienne hanging out on the couch.

Etienne has 6 weeks on Kate so he was way into the toys and moving a bit more, she was content to just sit around.  It did lead to this graceful eventual face-plant that was pretty cute to watch from little E.

Jaydon got the crud

 Well Jaydon was brought down for an entire week with a fever and terrible sore throat.  It was hard to watch and especially difficult to try and help him but also not get him too close to Kate and sharing germs etc.  Ultimately all the kids ended up getting something over a two week period.  Jaydon had it worst with that darn fever that just would not break for four solid days.  Lucy only had a couple days and hers was more a cold with a low fever at times and Kate avoided a fever and just had a runny nose.  Ah the joys of January!

Big Girl Update

I had a couple pics of Lucy in her cute big girl underwear but decided they weren't quite post worthy.  So we will just happily announce that she told us after Kate was born and Santa came she would start using the potty like a big girl.  Sure enough it took a bit of convincing but she is now day time potty trained and loving it.  We are pretty proud of our not so little Lucy.

Tantrum

Lucy definitely has shades of her mother, she has gotten pretty mad about getting in trouble and when we have sent her to her room this is what we have found.  Knocked over stools and exersaucer and sometimes the books and animals are all pulled out and tossed too.  We are going to have to work on some anger strategies :-)

J and L

While they can drive each other batty as all good siblings can, I love that these two sure do love each other.  They were playing something or other on Jaydon's bed, having a grand time.

Kate

Kate sure has been a fun baby.  She is happy and loves her family.  The only hard thing is that she really only wants to sleep with/on me so while some days that is great, others it is quite a challenge.  However as I know this time will go super fast, I am enjoying it for now.  Besides a 7:30 bedtime gives me lots of time to read :-)

Kate 'helped' with a little laundry

She was super smiley and talkative one day so I got lots of pics and even a video that should work!

 

Here she was working on tummy time with Lucy's baby also on the blanket, Lucy loves to have her baby do the same things Kate does!  It is very cute and in the last one Lucy joined in herself.  Such a good 'little mama'

Granny and Papa

We were glad to spend a week with Granny and Papa and just wished we didn't have to battle sicknesses throughout their visit.  As with many nights during their stay they get to do the night time stories.  We all love story time with Granny and Papa.  Looking forward to the next visit in March and by golly we hope to be healthy and have some more fun.
