Presents with Granny

We got to have a brief visit from Granny before Christmas while she was on a quick layover before heading to MN to spend the holidays with Papa and all the family in St. Paul.  (We are happy to report that Papa's leukemia treatments have gone very well and after staying for 6 weeks in MN, he was able to go home just after the start of the year and is doing great!)  Granny brought some fun gifts and we decided to let the kids each open one early while she was here with us.

Snack time

While getting ready to host a bit Christmas Eve celebration Jaydon and Lucy decided they needed to pull out the stools and have some snack time in the living room watching the tree.  It was cute!

After some fun in the snow and some busy days leading up to the holiday break Lucy was beat.  I was working in the kitchen and knew she was a bit tired but didn't know I would find her fast asleep at 10am when I went to check on her.

Snow Day

We got to enjoy a bit of a snow day. It didn't last long and it did mean I got one less day of subbing out of a job I was really enjoying but it was quite enjoyable to play with the kiddos and start winter break with some snow fun.

We tried hard to make a snow man, however, the snow was super weird and did not pack at all so instead we made a bit of a snow mound.

And of course after playing in the snow we had to come in side and enjoy some Hot Chocolate.  This was Lucy's first hot cocoa and she loved it.

Stomach bug

Jaydon came home from his last day of preschool starting winter break and promptly got sick.  He had moments of being really laid up and not feeling well and then other times where he was decently perky.  He does enjoy getting to have some extra screen time during illnesses, I think he was enjoying some Angry Bird time here.

Preschool concert and art

We loved seeing Jaydon's preschool concert.  They sang almost 10 songs and had lots of movements to go with each one.  It was awesome.

Unfortunately our camera is a bit broken and we don't have any of the videos we thought we were getting.

This was our Christmas gift from Jaydon this year.  The tree was the wrapping paper bag and the Angel ornament hung proudly on our tree - I loved it.

Leavenworth weekend part 3

We truly enjoy our Leavenworth weekend each year and are so grateful we have a chance to get the Stange family together.  Sunday morning is always a low key time when we pack up and head out but this year many stuck around a bit longer because of the 10am Seahawks start, we got to enjoy the game at the condo and just have a great day.
