More Snow

We enjoyed more snow!  For some of you who live in areas that get plenty of snow each year this is not super exciting but for us we have had a couple years in a row with almost no snow fall the whole year so we have had a lot of fun! Sarah came over and was watching the older kids while I took Kate to gymnastics. When I got home we all got to play in the snow for a bit.  It was a lot of fun and made for a White Christmas!

Jaydon was ready to come in when I first got home so he and I got the cocoa ready and took pics from the window while the girls all built snowmen.
Jaydon and Lucy were finally able to use the snowman kits that Grandma had bought them 2 years before.  Our neighbors Adam and Bryna helped them and here was one of the finished products.

Kid art

Here is the kids art from Dec.
Jaydon's on top, Lucy's on the right and Kate on the left.
A note from my bubba
Lucy's school projects
Her ornament picture
Cousin E with Kate and Lucy coloring
Kate's coloring
Jaydon made this tree.

Signs

The sign making has started. I remember making some myself to hang on the door of my room or seeing other elementary age kids have them. Sure enough, Jaydon has now made signs to hang up and try keeping people out. It says "Do not Enter! Thank you"

Kate gets binky

We try keeping binky away from her other than bedtime. She has started making that harder because she will look for them.  This day she moved the old exersaucer in front of the changing table, climbed on top of it and got her binky, she was so proud.  We are now looking for a new binky hiding spot.

Lucy and Higgins

Lucy was working on a book and Higgins got up to snuggle.  I think they both were in heaven.

Jaydon's learning

Over winter break Jaydon has gotten into reading a few more chapter books.  One morning he shouted at me "hey mom, I just learned something" then he proceeded to tell me a bit about the moon controlling the water.  He kept reading his book but later in the evening he had written this journal about what he learned. I was super impressed.  I love seeing kids learn!

Santa Pic

We had a lot of fun with our yearly Santa pics.  We goofed around taking some pics before we left and then we were able to hit a couple stores to finish our shopping after the pic.

The end result! No tears, I'm kind of bummed, that season of screaming Santa pictures may be over for us. Kate was so gung ho to meet him she ran right up to him. Lucy was actually still a little hesitant but saw your younger sister was thrilled so she joined in the excitement.
