Easter Egg Hunt

We enjoyed some beautiful weather for Lucy's birthday and went to the nearby Easter Egg Hunt. It was a lot of fun and the kids enjoyed 'hunting' (or more like 'collecting') their eggs.  Lucy and Kate went at the same time on two different fields and then Jaydon was after.
We parked far away and walked because we didn't know how crowded it would be but also to get some exercise

The big kids were so fast it was done very quickly.  We are trying to do a little free range parenting so we didn't go right with Jaydon on the hunt and just waited for him to come back to us at the end.  He got turned around a bit and it took longer than we were anticipating but he made it.  He was proud of himself and while my heart rate may have bumped up a bit it was good for all of us.

What a beautiful day to be outside and celebrating Easter.

Lucy is 4!

My 'little' girl is 4!  This past year she has definitely changed and grown up. There are times she is talking with me and I can't believe she is only four.  She is so fun to be around.  She loves to read stories, do art projects (play-doh, kinetic sand and painting are some favorites), weed, ride her bike and play with her dolls and ponies.  She definitely has a stubborn streak and can be quite a handful but we are figuring out to all work together.  She loves to wear dresses (every day) and loves to have her hair be done in fun styles with braids or buns (unfortunately she has my exact same hair so it is super fine and won't stay put in a braid).  School has been a lot of fun for her this year and she looks forward to going, she also loves taking part in her gymnastics class.  We are so happy we got to celebrate this wonderful girl and look forward to many more years and adventures to follow.
Brother and Sister gave her a book, a sequel to one we already had about crayons writing letters to their owner - she was super excited and had to give both siblings a big hug.

A couple new dresses to add to the assortment so that when she requests to wear one all the time we can mostly accommodate that.

Easter Egg Party

Another year of coloring Easter Eggs at Bob and Ida's!  It is so fun to have this tradition each year and I love spending good quality time with our neighbors.  We are very blessed.

Lucy's Birthday Party

For the second year in a row we went to the Children's Museum for Lucy's birthday party.  With her birthday falling on Easter weekend this year we had a very full schedule so we were fortunate to be able to host her party right after her school day ended so a lot of her school friends could come.  After pizza, cupcakes and presents the kids got to head out into the museum and play the afternoon away.  Lucy had a fabulous time!

Kate in the AM

I was cleaning up breakfast and found Kate had climbed up on the table to get the rest of Lucy's juice.  She was so proud of herself!

Lucy's school birthday

Lucy got to celebrate her birthday at school.  She was so excited to get to wear her crown and bring a special snack for the class. How is this girl already 4!?!

Mark turns 1

Mark turned 1 and had an amazing birthday party and a local bouncy house place.  We enjoyed getting to spend time with some friends and bounce to our hearts content, the adults got to take part in everything which made it especially enjoyable.

Kate wanted to try out the cyclone blast, she was content to just be in the cylinder without paying for the air.

Their own version of the Big Balls

Mark was pretty partied out!

Happy 1st Birthday little man.
