CHS Spring Egg Hunt

A local high school was offering a kids carnival type event to celebrate Spring. The kids had fun doing the different activities.  Kate was in love with the Bear mascot and went back to him a bunch of times, Jaydon's favorite was probably the cookie decorating/eating and Lucy loved getting her face painted.  They all enjoyed hunting for eggs too.

This was a fun kids event that the high schoolers did a great job setting up.

Snuggles, disaster and friends

Our neighbor friends missed us while we were out of town and came over for some play time.
Kate and Jaydon hanging out
The kids (ours and our neighbors) decided to do some art, it created quite a mess but they were pretty good at clean up

Trip to AZ - Day 4

Sunday of our trip was supposed to involve a fun trip to watch the Mariners at Spring Training.  Unfortunately Jaydon woke up around 3:00am and spent the rest of the night throwing up.  He was pretty miserable so instead of getting an early start we just stayed in and watched movies.  He was determined to see just a little of the game so we did manage to make it to the stadium for a few innings.  Well worth it and we can only hope that the next time we visit spring training we will get to watch the whole game.

Sickie was determined to go to the game
Enjoying our fun outfield lawn seats right by the bullpen

That night we got home and enjoyed our last evening with our cousins, it was so fun to visit and spend time with family we don't get to see all that often.

Hugs good-bye for Auntie Kelsey!
What an awesome vacation (minus the illness). We had so much fun spending time with our loved ones and enjoying some sunshine.  We look forward to another trip down there in a few more years.

Trip to AZ - Day 3

We spent a fun day at the Ostrich Festival.  As the name implies, we made sure to go and see the ostriches and watch their race.  It was quite an experience.  Definitely drew a huge crowd so we were busy wrangling 6 kiddos but everyone had a good time, except maybe Farris who was a bit cranky from being tired and having a tummy bug.
We saw the ostriches

We watched them race around (along with various other animals)

The kids played and slept

The dads took the older 4 kiddos on a roller coaster - it was great.

They all survived the roller coaster
Lucy and Piper waited for a pony ride while Jaydon and I rode a camel.

A fun and tiring trip to the festival.
That evening we walked to another nearby playground and finally got a chance to sing Happy Birthday to Tyler and enjoy some amazing chocolate cake.  We had a fun and full day of play, good food and great company.
