It was a strange summer, we went almost the whole time with the kids never being gone and then in the last 2 weeks they spent a whole week away. First camping and then a trip out to Jen's. I am teaching again so I had new teacher meetings to attend so the kids spent 3 days with Grandma (who watched all 5 of her grandkids while her daughters both did teacher meetings).
The real weird thing was that Jaydon turned 8 while he was at Jen's and we didn't get to actually be with him to celebrate! Now luckily there is technology that allows us to video call and by being gone I think he got to extend his birthDay into a birthWeek. We celebrated him a number of times once he got home.
We are thankful we got to see him and take pics and even sing happy birthday with the rest of the family.
