We had a wonderful trip up to Kodiak to visit with Granny and Papa. Jaydon did well on the flights (two each direction) and he even slept pretty well - he is getting better at pack n play sleeping (as he should be, he has done it often enough). We really had a fabulous time and it always seems to go by waaaay to fast. Come visit us soon Granny and Papa, we miss you!
Taking a hike around Abercrombie.
Playing with the moss on the trees.
Learning about the boat with Papa Paul, we used that downrigger later in the week to catch Jaydon's first King.
Getting our boat in the water and ready to go.
Jaydon was not a big fan of his lifejacket - you don't get a sense of his true displeasure in this photo but he was grumpy with it on.
Grandpa teaching Jaydon to drive the boat.
Jaydon's first King, he also got bit by this first king (as you can see he is reaching out to touch it, well when the fish was positioned to look at him he reached out as well and got his finger pricked on a tooth).
Playing at the park.
Baby in the Bar - in WA we can't take him into a bar ever, here in Kodiak it is a bit more relaxed. We sat at the bar waiting for our table and ordered drinks no big deal. It reminded me of that Sweet Home Alabama movie when Reese comments "you have a baby...and in a bar"
Taking Calvin for a ride.
We went to the USCG base pool (the town pool was closed for a repair). Jaydon loves the pool, I thought it was freezing but he had a great time.
Reaching out to Granny.
He liked the goggles.
He really enjoyed playing with this railing.
