Of course we had to spend some time out on the water!  Kate and I went on one of the shorter trips one afternoon and then we let the bigger kids go on a longer trip trying to catch bigger fish the next day. Lots of smiles on the boat!

On the actual 4th of July we got to enjoy the parade through downtown Kodiak and then come back in the afternoon for some festivities.

After such a wonderful day the kids got to enjoy the hot tub bubble bath!

We headed out to the Chiniak Fourth of July festival at the end of the road again this trip. It was a bit better weather than a couple years ago so we were able to enjoy a bit more outside time. Mo and her family put on another fabulous party and we all had a wonderful time. Face paint for everyone, fun potluck food with hot dogs and then of course walking in the parade. What a great way to kick off our 4th!
