Visit with Grandpa and Grandma

We had a great visit with Grandma and Grandpa from Metaline Falls, Jeremy's dad and step-mom for those of you who can't quite keep track of all the grandparents Jaydon and Lucy have :)
They wanted to get a present for Lucy and we thought she might enjoy an exersaucer.  Here is a video of her trying it out and then a few pictures of her first experiences.
We had been at a fair earlier in the day (pictures below) and Jaydon had lost his balloon so they also bought him this cool walking dog balloon.  He enjoyed it!

First try, we had the little pillow in front but soon found we didn't really need it.
Jaydon woke up and found his puppy, what a fun surprise.

Of course we had to introduce the grandparents to Candy Land and Chutes and Ladders. Here is one of the many games he played over the weekend.  He and grandpa
Here Jaydon was deomonstrating how big the fish was that he caught in Alaska. Funny thing is he caught a few herring,  but he is working on those fish stories already.
Technically a family pic if you see Jeremy in the background :)
Lucy and mom, I am a bit tired but Lucy is sure cute!
As Grandma Deborah quoted from this picture "we fight at dawn..." I can just see it, so funny
Jaydon wanted to try out the exersaucer he did manage to get in by himself!
Watch out, he is getting ready to fly a helicopter.  We atteneded a kids fair at Hovander and it had a ton of things for him to do.  He really enjoyd it and enjoyed getting to spend time with family.
Giving a high five to the puppy who gave him the white balloon.
Seeing some animals at the petting zoo.  Little goats, cows, bunnies, chickens and some other animals,ad a great time.

Jaydon climbed up the stairs and went down the slide all by himself, I was impressed, he loved it!
And what could be better than a train ride through the park.
Thanks for a great visit Grandma and Grandpa, sorry we didn't actually get more photos with you in them.  We love you.

Jumper

Lucy has had very good head control from an early age so I decided to whip out the jumper.  She had a great time!

She played in it for about 15 minutes moving her feet all around and enjoying herself immensely.
Jaydon of course wanted to try it!  He managed to get in by himself and have a little fun too!

Lucy and Xander

While we were down for Sophie's birthday party we did a quick little photo shoot with Xander and Lucy.  Xander is about three weeks younger than Lucy, they have both had some challenging baby issues but sure are cute!  Asia had gotten these matching jammies before they were born and we took some quick photos.  Unfortunately, as with most newborns one was asleep when the other was awake and so these photos were done in a very quick window before Lucy almost lost it for tiredness.
Look to the right!
Look to your own side
Look to the left, Lucy liked to put her arm out on Xander.
We had to put them in opposite directions to try stopping Lucy from rolling away in the photo, cute that they are both sucking on their hands.
Lucy evidently didn't want to share the shot with Xander on this one.

While Xander was sleeping Asia took a few photos of Lucy.  Here are a few that are amazing! She is three and a half months old in these photos.
Happy Girl!
This is a look her dad gives sometimes.
Fist pump of joy.
Laughing girl.

Now I just have to get some photos actually printed out so I can add Lucy to some frames around our house, I am a bit neglectful and haven't done that yet.

Happy 3rd Birthday Sophie!

We had a blast helping Sophie celebrate her 3rd birthday. Her party happened to occur on Jeremy's actual birthday so we had extra reasons to celebrate.
Jaydon enjoying some of the fabulous white cake with frosting and sprinkles.
Our friend Kristen got to hold Baby Lucy while...
...I ate my first bagel in a really long time.  Unfortunately it isn't something I continued being able to eat but it sure tasted .good.
Asia and Craig and Asia's parents did an amazing job revamping their backyard, here Jaydon is playing in the sandbox.
The birthday girl with her dada.
Jaydon running through the balloons on one tier.
The rock bed and stream area
Sophie's party favor to people was a cup of ladybugs for their gardens.  Jaydon and Sophie enjoyed playing and releasing all of the left over lady bugs.
Sophie helping Asia get one out of hair, look at those amazing curls by the way, gorgeous.
Jaydon had a collection on his hands and many other places too.
Both kids playing with ladybugs.
I think they were frogs in this picture but I can't actually remember.  I also can't remember why Jaydon had a shirt change but the kids did have fun!  Happy Birthday Sophie!

Happy birthday dad and gram

We did a small birthday celebration for dad and gram!  Jaydon is getting really into birthdays and likes knowing the order of when birthdays will occurr and who is coming up next.  We had fun celebrating some very important people, if only I could eat dessert!

Visit from Auntie Karen, Uncle Doug and Debby

Auntie Karen and Uncle Doug were looking into some green burial methods and their research brought them up to our town.  We were happy they got to swing by with Debby and see Jaydon and Lucy.
Auntie Karen reading Jaydon an Arthur story.
Debby getting some good snuggles with Lucy.

Kodiak Vacation

We had a fabulous visit to Kodiak, the kids and I got to spend 10 days up there and Jeremy joined us in the middle for six.  It worked out pretty well and I only had to do the Anchorage to Kodiak flight alone with two kids, thankfully all the travel went really pretty well!  We loved being able to introduce Lucy to Papa, Calvin and Elbee and spend some quality time with everyone.
Papa holding Lucy for the first time, Calvin checking her out.
Morning tradition, Granny was 'insane' and always went to work out early so Papa would help and give Lucy her morning bottle it was great!
Lucy gazing adoringly at her Papa
Granny knows Jaydon loves Thomas so there were Thomas stickers waiting for us!
Cool dude!  Granny's sunglasses, with his hat and pjs.
Jaydon loves these early reader stories.  He has really started reading (memorizing the story and repeating it out loud as he turns the pages) them very well and here we caught him upstairs on his bed reading to Bonk - Jeremy's teddy bear from when he was a boy.  It was really cute!
Jaydon loved sweeping and mopping so he and Papa took care of the deck for us.

Lucy meeing 'aunt' Sherry

Jaydon helped Papa with lots of projects throughout our stay, here he helped build a fence for Granny.
We went out to dinner one evening to celebrate the 4th.  Lucy had a good time and I got to eat some original sushi rolls created for me to accomodate all the food items I can't eat.
Jaydon was pretty dang excited to see that orange in his car kids meal!

We really had a fabulous time and if you look below there are a bunch of other Kodiak updates for different parts of our trip including the 4th of July, hiking, fishing, and visiting some animals!
